HCA Healthcare's IT executive receives lifetime achievement honor
Cae Swanger, chief information officer (CIO) for HCA Healthcare’s Pacific Region is the 2020 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Las Vegas Top Tech Awards and Healthcare Quarterly Magazine.
Swanger, with more than three decades experience, serves as CIO for the Mountain and Far West divisions of HCA Healthcare. She oversees an information technology infrastructure for five states including Nevada, California, Utah, Idaho and Alaska.
Among her many notable achievements, she led efforts to deploy mobile solutions that empower and connect entire patient care teams along with various different forms of smart technology that track tools, equipment, and supplies, optimize workflows, and quickly evaluate individual aspects of each and every patient so the best decisions about that person’s care can be made in real time.
Swanger’s execution tenacity, technology knowledge and passion drives preeminent support for 12,000+ physicians, 17,000+ nurses and caregivers and almost 500 graduate residents that serve the patients that trust HCA Healthcare for their care.
Each year, the Las Vegas Top Tech Awards and Healthcare Quarterly magazine recognize outstanding IT leaders in Southern Nevada. Nominations from peers and clients are reviewed by a panel of IT thought leaders and entries are judged on achievements, company and community impact, major projects and more. Swanger, recognized as a healthcare industry expert, was honored for her achievements on November 18th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
